This wonderful, enamel box, by American, Mary McLaughlin, features Russian painter and children's book illustrator, Gennady Spirin's depiction of "The Nutcracker" in red and gold. It was selected by Saks Fifth Avenue as the centerpiece of their Christmas display in 1997 (New York) and 1998 (Chicago). Red nutcrackers border the side. "THE NUTCRACKER" and "© GENNADY SPIRIN/SAKS FIFTH AVENUE 1997" are inside. The box has a diameter of 2.1" with a height of 1.2". On the base is : "McLaughlin Glazeware Inc.
