This wonderful, Rochard, Limoges box is a red, black and white, number "39", cable car, with 22KT gold detailing and a gold bell on top. On each side, in gold, is "POWELL & HYDE STS" on top and "SAN FRANCSCO" on bottom. The clasp is a coiled square. It is 1.2" by 2.3" with a height of 2".
