LIMOGES FRANCE BOX - PARRY-VIEILLE - Y2K BUG & COMPUTER CHIP - YEAR 2000 - RARE!
Couldn't load pickup availability
This rare, Parry-Vieille, Limoges box is the infamous Y2K bug, that was expected to wreak havoc on computer systems globally, in the year 2000. Most computer programs used two positions for year data, but companies made software and hardware changes, and there weren't any major problems. The bug is a green beetle, with a 22KT gold head, legs, dots, detailing, and "2K" written on the back. A clip is the clasp, and a laptop computer, with "January 1st 2000" on the screen, is on the inside top. On bottom is the beetle holding a piece of a chip under his belly. Also inside is a .75" long, removable, green porcelain, computer chip. The box is 1.25" by 1.6" with a height of .9". On the bottom is: "Limoges France - PV - Marque Deposee - Peint Main." PLEASE CHECK MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR MORE LIMOGES BOXES - I'LL BE LISTING ADDITIONAL ONES LATER IN THE WEEK. PLEASE CHECK BACK OFTEN.
