This lovely, Gerard Ribierre, Limoges box is a brown 'wooden', Venetian gondola, with a curtained cabin and 22KT gold detailing. The gondolier, wearing the traditional outfit of white pants, a red and white striped shirt and a yellow straw hat, is using his metal oar to navigate. Two red and gold, barber striped poles are in the dark blue water. The clasp is the face of a Renaissance lady, and multi-colored streamers are painted inside, with an attached, three dimensional, whit porcelain, carnival mask, decorated with gold. The box is 1.9" by 2.8" with a height of 2.1". "Peint Main - Limoges France - GR©" is on the bottom.
