This wonderful, Rochard, Limoges box is a brown 'woven rattan', Nantucket basket, with a movable, metal handle. On top is an oval, with a burgundy border, and a rural scene of two hens and a chick in a meadow. A bar is the clasp, and the green interior has a daisy painted on top. Also inside are three, removable eggs. The basket is 1.2" by 1.8" with a height of 2" to the top of the handle. "Rochard - Limoges France - Peint Main" with the artist's initials is on the bottom.
