This wonderful box is a red old-fashioned,rural school house with a brown thatched roof, and a clock in front. The paned glass windows have flower boxes. Grass and shrubs surround the building, and an apple tree is in back. The clasp is a horseshoe - a reminder of the days when students would ride their horses to school, and tie them to a hitching post in front. It is 1" by 1.5" with a height of 2.1". On the bottom is : "Limoges France - Peint a la Main" with the artist's initials. "Limoges France" is also stamped in green.
