This wonderful, Limoges box has the two protagonists from Aesop's, well know fable, "The Hare and the Tortoise." The brown bunny, with a white cottontail, and the turtle, with a brown and white shell, are on a grassy green base. Blades of grass are painted on the side. A bunny is the clasp, and inside is the title in French, "Le Lievre et la Tortue." The box is 1.3" by 2.1" with a height of 1.9". "Peint Main - Limoges France" is on the bottom.
