This wonderful Gerard Ribierre Limoges box is a tan 'leather' "Livre de Cuisine" cookbook open to a recipe for "Coq au Vin" (chicken in wine), with a metal knife and fork on top. On one side is a blue and white checked tablecloth with a pot and the ingredients : a chicken, a bottle of wine, flour, onions, salt, and pepper. The other side has the list of ingredients. A rooster is the clasp. Inside is a scene of a French chef, in a white toque, holding a wooden spoon, while the dish is simmering on the stove. It is 1.5" by 2.4" with a height of .6".
