This LARGE, gorgeous, Halcyon Days Enamels box, inspired by an antique, Parisian, snuff box c.1750, has a cluster of flowers, with a multi-colored butterfly, in the center, and a gold herringbone background. The blue scalloped border has red and white, pinwheel striped ovals. Three stalks of flowers, with the same background and border, are on the side. Inside is: "The art of making enamelled gold snuff boxes reached its peak in the mid-18th century. The design for this box was inspired by an original example made in Paris c.1750." The box is 1.6" by 2.5" with a height of 1.4". "Halcyon Days Enamels - England - Bilston & Battersea Enamels Revival" is on the bottom.
