This wonderful, Halcyon Days Enamels box, made for Tiffany & Co., features Christopher Columbus', three ships, the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria, with Spanish red crosses on their sails, in the Caribbean, where he landed in 1492. In the center is the flag of Castile and Leon, surrounded by the islands of "CUBA", "Hispaniola", "Jamaica" and the "Antilles." A land mass labeled "Nouus orbis" (new world) is on the bottom, and an assortment of sea serpents is on the side. Inside is a compass. It has a diameter of 1.6" with a height of 1.1". "Halcyon Days Enamels - England - Bilston & Battersea Enamels Revival" and "Designed by Tiffany & Co." are on the bottom.
